Description: Carera is a car rental company founded in Crete 30 years ago. Our headquarters are located in Hersonissos along with several offices around the island, one of which is located near the entrance of the AMIRANDES hotel in Gouves. We have an excellent reputation for high standards with a large selection of cars ranging from small, economic 'run arounds' to several makes of luxurious brands (i.e. Mercedes CLK 350 Cabriolet automatic). Our team is available 24 hours a day, fluent in a variety of languages i.e. Russian, German, Polish, French and English - so there is always someone to help you. Serving the whole island, we are able to deliver our cars anywhere on the island (within reason!). The Carera team. Carera was started in 1984 by its owner Andreas Xanthakis. It was always his dream to have a job in the tourism industry working with good quality cars and providing a high standard of customer experience. With this as his ethos the company has grown over the years and has achieved an excellent reputation in the market providing unequaled quality to all its customers. The name CARERA was chosen as Andreas loved this model of Porsche but also it can be taken as two words: CAR & ERA, meaning the age of the car. Although the company has grown it is still very much a family business with the children actively involved in the day to day running, especially in the high season, keeping that 'personal touch'. A large fleet of automobiles is available for rent which includes small and economic 'run arounds', automatics, 7 seaters and mini buses for large groups, as well as cabriolets i.e. mini coopers, V.W. Eos, Megane with ultimately the Mercedes CLK 350 Cabriolet. We see as a duty to always renew our fleet to ensure some of the latest models are available to rent.
